Press Responds to LDS Faction Meeting

Ljubljana, 22 February - The major Slovene daily responds to the meeting of a group "dissatisfied" members of the ruling Democracy of Slovenia (LDS) in Tuesday's edition. Some influential members of the party, including Ljubljana Mayoress Vika Potocnik, met last Friday "to revive the tradition of internal communication between the different-minded," the national radio reported on Monday. According to a television report, the LDS leader and Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek responded by stating that he too advocated frankness in the party, but would like his critics to act within the party rather than outside it.
