A Stable Croatia is in Slovenia's National Interest

Sharing similar values and strategic goals connected with the future of Europe and the Balkans with its neighbours is in Slovenia's national interest. With a stable Croatia, Slovenia would also no longer be Europe's bordering country to an insecure area, said Slovene President Milan Kucan in an interview with a Croatian weekly magazine Globus. The sooner Europe includes Croatia and expands further towards the southeast, the sooner that Slovenia will be positioned at the heart of Europe, Kucan added.
