Rupel Talks About Border Region Agreement on TV Slovenia

Ljubljana, 24 February - SLOVENIA/CROATIA/RUPEL
The Slovene-Croatian border region agreement contains many safeguards, that is why it is impossible to talk about it possibly prejudicing border discussions or it being detrimental to Slovene interests, said Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel on Thursday night. Rupel who appeared on the show Odmevi (Echoes) on TV Slovenia added that the agreement is of a political nature, that is why it will be necessary to hold more talks over the next few days. Rupel hopes that, despite some amendments, a new agreement will not have to be formulated.
