Consensus and Knowledge Important for Economic Development

Apart from knowledge and direct foreign investments, Slovenia's key strategic goal in the period of the EU accession is the setting up of a wider national and social consensus as a precondition for economic development. Participants of the Friday's panel on development of Slovene national economic programme pointed out that Slovenia is losing its comparative advantages due to delays in establishing a modern infrastructure, inefficient technological policy, and low investments in development.
