Kucan Writes to Ciampi about the Minority Protection Bill

Slovene President Milan Kucan expressed a conviction that Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi would use his influence to ensure adoption of the Slovene minority protection bill. In a letter to Ciampi, Kucan pointed out that, with such a law, the legal status of language and ethnic minorities in Italy would be settled, Kucan's office reported.
