Kovinotehna Operates at a Profit Again

Kovinotehna of Celje grossed SIT 34.5 billion (172.5 million euros) last year, or 4.9 percent less then a year before, according to unaudited data. The company, which is active in wholesale and retail, expanded the volume of trading at home by six percent, the drop in gross revenues coming as a result of selective approach in penetrating foreign markets. While the company recorded a net loss of SIT 2.371 billion in 1998, it made a net profit of SIT 154.3 million in 1999, company officials said on Monday.
