Fish from Slovene Fish Cannery Is Not Poisonous

Analyses of the fish caught in the Adriatic Sea and processed at Delamaris, a cannery in the fishing town of Izola, have shown that the levels of poisonous DDT pesticide contained in the fish do not exceed the allowed levels. This was told to STA on Monday by Director of the Slovene Veterinary Administration (VURS) Zoran Kovac after an analysis of samples of the fish processed at Delamaris aroused a suspicion of increased pesticide levels last Saturday.
