Unemployment by ILO Standards at 7.7 Percent

Ljubljana, 29 February - STATISTICS/WORKING/POPULATION
Unemployment in Slovenia, measured by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) method, averaged 7.7 percent for the last trimester of 1999. The National Statistical Office reported that of the 1.987 million citizens in Slovenia 956,000 make up the working population from which 882,000 are employed and 74,000 are unemployed.
