Bajuk: Coalition Slovenia for a Clearer Political Arena
Ljubljana, 29 February - COALITION/SLOVENIA
The pre-election campaign of the Coalition Slovenia reached a great leap forward in the preparation of an alternative governmental programme for the next mandate. It is important that at a meeting on Sunday, the leaders of the Social Democrats of Slovenia (SDS), Slovene Christian Democrats (SKD) and the Slovene People's Party (SLS) were able to harmonise the coalition agreement, which the merged party (SKD and SLS) would sign with the SDS. This means that the three parties will appear together at the elections, said the SDS and SKD leaders Janez Jansa and Lojze Peterle at a Coalition Slovenia press conference. Chairman of the coalition's expert council Andrej Bajuk commented on Monday's meeting of the council and added that it should have the first draft of the government programme prepared by mid-March.
