Pressure to Adopt the Slovene Minority Bill Builds Up in Italy

Pressure to adopt the Slovene minority protection bill in Italy is increasing. Italian Minister for Regions Katia Bellillo wrote to Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema, warning him about the importance of a prompt adoption of the bill. Bellillo pointed out that the final draft of the bill has already been agreed upon and that a general discussion has closed. Thus the adoption procedure would only take up to eight hours, Bellillo stressed.
