Port of Koper Records a Net Profit of 13.5 Million Euros

Koper, 1 March - COMPANIES/PORT/KOPER
The Port of Koper recorded a turnover of SIT 12 billion (60 million euros) in 1999, according to unaudited income statement. Operating profits accounted for SIT 2.41 billion (12 million euros), which is a 15 percent increase from 1998. In the same period, a net-profit of SIT 2.68 billion (13.5 million euros) was recorded, up 18 percent from 1998 and 29 percent more than planned. The 2000 business year is estimated favourably as 911,000 tones of goods were handled in January and as many as 1,099,870 tones in February, which is the company's all time record.
