President Kucan Leaves for Latvia

Ljubljana, 1 March - LATVIA/KUCAN/VISIT
President Milan Kucan left for an official visit to Latvia on Wednesday. During his visit, which will be his first to that country, Kucan will meet with Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga, Prime Minister Janis Straume and Speaker of Parliament Indris Skele on Thursday. On the same day he will also give a speech in the Latvian parliament about Slovenia and its European future. President Kucan who will conclude his visit on Friday will be accompanied by his spouse Stefka, Minister for Economic Relations and Development Marja Senjur, State Secretary at the Foreign Ministry Ernest Petric and State Secretary at the Culture Ministry Majda Sirca.
