Kucan Addresses Latvian Parliamentarians

Riga, 2 March - LATVIA/KUCAN/PARLIAMENT
President Milan Kucan addressed the Latvian parliament on Thursday during his first official visit to Latvia. He evoked the future of Slovenia and Europe, summarised Slovenia's path to independence and its efforts to become a full member of the European Union. He also spoke about the situation in the Balkans, stressing Slovenia's role as a factor of stability in the region.
