Small Nations Must Be Heard in Europe, Slovenia and Latvia Warn

Riga, 2 March - LATVIA/SLOVENIA/KUCAN
The presidents of Slovenia and Latvia, Milan Kucan and Vaira Vike-Freiberga, met in the Latvian capital of Riga on Thursday, discussing the efforts of both countries to join the EU and NATO, European security and bilateral co-operation. It is important that the voice of small countries is heard in new Europe, which is being reformed, as such countries do not want their destinies to be tailored by large nations, both presidents agreed.
