Government Comments on the Slovene-Croatian Border Incident
Ljubljana, 2 March - The Slovene government has instructed the Slovene Foreign Ministry and the diplomatic commission for borders to prepare a complete report on the basis of information from the Interior Ministry, which will cover the problematics of the current border and comes after another incident in Hotiza which occurred on Wednesday. In the incident the documents of three Slovene citizens, who were working on Croatian territory, were seized by Croat authorities and later returned after Slovene citizens blocked the only road back to Croatia. On the basis of an Interior Ministry report on the incident, the Foreign Ministry also sent a diplomatic note to the Croatian Embassy in Slovenia in which it stated that in the vicinity of Hotiza there was a infringement of Slovenia's territorial integrity.
