Italian Police Officers Cross the Slovene Border
Škofije, 2 March - The Slovene border police at the Slovene border crossing with Italy, Skofije, on Thursday afternoon followed a person running from the Italian border crossing towards Slovenia. The person was also followed by two Italian policemen. During the pursuit the Italian officers crossed the border line and followed the person some 50 metres into the Slovene territory. Following an order given by a Slovene policeman the Italian officers stopped the pursuit. The unknown person was a member of the Italian financial police, who was taken to hospital by force because of mental problems on Wednesday and escaped on Thursday afternoon, reported the chief of the Koper police administration Emil Cebokli.
