European Affairs Commission Supports Government's Stance on Austria

Ljubljana, 3 March - The parliamentary commission for European affairs supported the government's stance that Austria's new government should be judged by its actions in principle on Friday, but stressed that the cause for concern remained. The legislators expect the new Austrian government to understand EU enlargement as an historic opportunity and to support the accession of new members under the criteria agreed, rather than bind it with bilateral issues.
