Dnevnik: The Borders of Narrow-Mindedness

Ljubljana, 7 March - That the border issue with Slovenia never really traumatised Croatia was evident in the previous Croatian regime, as it seemed to be somewhat of a folklore addition to the evident incompatibility of the non-identical twins which were born from the former Yugoslavia. Now, that Zagreb is following the rallies by the Mura river as if they are some special Slovene carnival festivity, some responsible person should be forced into thinking so that the empty-headed running around for election points in Hotiza ends. The current draining of anger of the residents living near Mura through confidential meetings and messages which can be seen as ultimatums for the president of the neighbouring country, shows that Slovene-Croatian relations are not being influenced by signals from Zagreb, but from the election paranoia of Slovene politicians, writes Tuesday's release of Dnevnik.
