Minority Protection Bill to be Adopted in a Few Months, Says Dini
Rome, 8 March - Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, who is on a working visit in Rome on Wednesday, expressed satisfaction after an introductory meeting with his Italian counterpart Lamberto Dini. The Italian official assured Rupel that he would do everything in his power for the adoption of the bill on the global protection of the Slovene minority in Italy, which could happen as early as this spring. Rupel also received similar assurances at the meeting with Speaker of the Italian House of Representatives Luciano Violante earlier in the day. Dini told the press that he expected the bill to be passed in 'a few months', as it is widely supported by the government majority.
