New World Records Forecast For Planica
Ljubljana, 9 March - SKI/FLIGHTS/PLANICA
The final of the 21st Ski Jump World Cup will take place at Planica's flying hill on 18 and 19 March, which will host the first team ski flights, as well as the individual ski flights. The deputy president of the Planica organisation committee, Janez Gorisek, said that there is plenty of snow which will allow ski-flights of over 220 metres. This mark is longer than the current unofficial world record, set on 20 March 1999 by Norwegian Tommy Ingebritsen.
