EU Veterinary Inspection Casts Favourable Assessment
Ljubljana, 10 March - SLOVENIA/EU/INSPECTION
The EU veterinary inspection completed its five-day visit to Slovenia on Friday. The team of veterinarians informed the Slovene Veterinary Administration (VURS) of the results of their findings concerning the supervision over harmful leftovers of medicaments, pesticides, hormones and heavy metals in food made from animal products. The Agriculture Ministry reported that the final assessment of the inspection rated the work of the Slovene veterinary inspection and the changes made to the organisation of the domestic veterinary administration as being on a suitable level to that which is expected from the European Commission.
