Austria's Support for Slovenia's EU Accession Remains Unchanged

Vienna, 14 March - Head of the Slovene negotiating team for accession to the EU Janez Potocnik met with Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner in Vienna on Tuesday. Ferrero-Waldner stressed that Austria's support for EU expansion and Slovenia's integration into the EU remained unchanged. Austria's position is that problems between the countries should continue to be solved on the bilateral level and should not present any hurdles for Slovenia's integration into the EU, Potocnik told STA after the meeting.
