Co-operation Between Slovenia and Italy in the Bay of Trieste

Ljubljana, 16 March - Representatives of the Ministry for the Environment and Physical Planning, Direction for the Environment of the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia and the mayor of the Slovene port town of Koper have considered the potential for concrete co-operation between Slovenia and Italy in the protection of the environment in the Gulf of Trieste. Slovenia and Italy share a lot of problems in the region, which they want to solve together. They are also willing to co-operate in preparing concrete projects to compete for EU funds.
