Slovenia and Croatia Must Solve Problems, If They Want to Join the EU, Mesic Says
Ljubljana, 17 March - SLOVENIA/CROATIA/MESIC
Croatia and Slovenia share the same strategic goal, that is membership in the European Union. Croatian President Stipe Mesic therefore expects his official visit to Slovenia to contribute to forming an atmosphere in which the existing difficulties in bilateral relations can be solved. Unless such problems are solved, neither Slovenia nor Croatia can hope to enter the EU soon, Mesic said in an interview for STA ahead of his first official visit to Slovenia.
