Croatian President Mesic to Arrive in Slovenia on Sunday

Ljubljana, 19 March - SLOVENIA/CROATIA/VISIT/BACKGROUND
Recently elected Croatian President Stipe Mesic will arrive in Slovenia on Sunday at the invitation of the President of Slovenia, Milan Kucan. Mesic, who will begin his official part of the visit on Monday, arrives at a time that Slovene-Croatian relations are improving following January parliamentary and presidential elections in Croatia. This is the first international visit for the Croatian President since being sworn in on 18 February of this year.
