Goldberger Leads After First Series in Planica

Austrian Andreas Goldberger leads after the first series of ski flights at the final competition of this year's Ski Jumping World Cup in Planica. Goldberger jumped 208 metres and came away with 201.5 pints and is followed by German Sven Hannawald who jumped 203.5 metres and scored 199.7 points, third is Finland's Janne Ahonen with a jump of 198 metres that gained him 193.1 points. The only Slovene to place in the final was Damjan Fras who is 26th after the first series and jumped 176.5 metres to score 162.3 points. Primoz Peterka missed a finals place by one, while Jure Radelj, Robert Kranjec and Grega Lang were further behind.
