Vrhovnik Finishes Third in the Overall Slalom Standings

Slovenia's success story in the men's competition, Matjaz Vrhovnik finished the World Cup slalom season in third place overall, behind Norwegian Kjetil Andre Aamodt and second placed Ole Christian Furuseth, also of Norway. Vrhovnik also finished third at the last event of the season held in Bormio. The winner was Ole Christian Furuseth who was followed by Austria's Benjamin Raich. Furuseth was 0.38 seconds faster than Raich and 0.72 seconds faster than Vrhovnnik.
