Review of the Slovene Economy From 11 Through 17 March

Ljubljana, 19 March - In a major development during the week, sporting goods-manufacturer Elan finally received a new owner following ten years of negotiations. The Slovene Development Corporation (SRD) signed a contract on Friday at Otocec, for the purchase of the majority share (77.25 percent) in Elan from the Privredna banka Zagreb and the Croatian agency for banks. The agreement also encompasses the transfer of the trademark Elan, to the SRD.
