The Government Raises the Prices of Postal Services and Liquefied Gas
Ljubljana, 23 March - GOVERNMENT/SESSION
The government passed a decree on determining the highest retail price for propane and butane at its Thursday session. The retail prices will thus rise by 5.46 percent on 25 March, from 183 to 193 SIT per kilogram (1 euro = approx. 201 SIT). The price rise will influence the consumer price index by 0.02 percentage points. The government decided to take such measure to harmonise the prices with the rise of the world stock exchange quotations of propane and butane, which grew by 23 percent in January and February. The last change of propane and butane retail prices took place on 19 February 2000, when the prices rose by 9.9 percent.
