To the Middle East, in Jerusalem, which is being claimed by all the monotheist religions, aggressive at their very core, came a pilgrim, the like of which exceeds the memories of the inhabitants. The Pope visits holy sites, remembering Jesus, while the whole world, especially the Palestinian and Jewish, translates his words into political meanings. Wojtyla kisses the Israeli earth and does not protest when the Jews present Jerusalem as their eternal capital, and everything is wrong on the Palestinian side. Wojtyla visits the Palestinian territory, understands the suffering of almost four million Palestinians, and the whole Jewish side of Jerusalem jumps in protest, writes Friday's release of Delo.
