President Kucan Discusses Recent Talks With Croatia

Slovene President Milan Kucan discussed the recent talks with his Croatian counterpart Stipe Mesic on Radio Koroska. Kucan, who touched upon the apparent Croatian willingness to return the Slovene secret service van which was confiscated in 1998, said that this cannot be labelled a gesture of good will, as the return would come anyway, but before that, political changes were needed in Zagreb. He stressed that he did not discuss this issue or possible Slovene gestures of good will with the Croatian President in Ljubljana, during the latter's visit on Monday.
