Number of Tuberculosis Patients in Slovenia on the Decline

The number of tuberculosis patients in Slovenia has been on the decline in the past few years, said Dr Jurij Sorli on Friday at World Tuberculosis Day. The chief of the Hospital for pulmonary diseases and allergies at Golnik, some 25 km northwestern of Ljubljana, also explained that the data of the national tuberculosis register, kept at the Golnik hospital, reveal that 483 tuberculosis patient were recorded in 1997, 449 in 1998 and 439 last year.
