Hague Supports SKD and SLS Merger

Leader of the opposition British Conservative Party William Hague addressed a letter to leader of the Slovene Christian Democrats (SKD) Lojze Peterle and leader of the Slovene People's Party (SLS) Marjan Podobnik. In the letter Hague welcomed the announced merger congress and expressed hope that this move will assist to strengthen the right-centrist political space in Slovenia, in addition to assisting the formation of a party with a relative majority and in co-operation with the Social Democrats (SDS) lead to the formation of a coalition as a sign that only a unified right-centre can win at the elections, was reported from the Slovene Christian Democrats.
