Portugal Sees a Reliable Partner in Slovenia, Kucan Says

President Milan Kucan and his Portuguese counterpart Jorge Sampaio focused on European topics, bilateral co-operation and topical international issues during their meeting in Lisbon on Wednesday. Kucan's official visit to Portugal is important not only for bilateral relations but for Slovenia's relations with the European Union as well, Sampaio stated after the talks. "The Europe of peace and development needs Slovenia too." Kucan in turn established that even now Portugal "considers Slovenia a reliable and credible partner".
