Rupel Receives Representatives of Slovene Minority in Austria

Ljubljana, 30 March - RUPEL/SLOVENES/AUSTRIA
Minister for Foreign Affairs Dimitrij Rupel received representatives of the national council of Carinthian Slovenes, the association of Slovene organisations and the cultural society of Styrian Slovenes on Thursday. The meeting comes ahead of the upcoming visit of Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner to Slovenia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the representatives presented their current situation in Austrian Carinthia and Styria, in addition to presenting their views and concord with Slovenia's position towards the new Austrian government.
