Parties Support Adoption of the Acquis

Ljubljana, 30 March - Presidents of the Slovene parliamentary parties meet on Thursday evening to discuss the support for the adoption of the acquis in the parliament in the election year, in particular after the announced withdrawal of the Slovene People's Party (SLS) from the ruling coalition. As presidents of the parliamentary parties said after the meeting, which took place behind closed doors, there is readiness among the parties to continue with the harmonisation of the Slovene legislation with the acquis, but so is the doubt whether the comprehensive harmonisation programme can be carried out, considering the complicated political situation.
