Last Quarter of 1999 Sees Most Tourists Visit Postojna Caves
Ljubljana, 2 April - In the last quarter of 1999 natural and historical sites in Slovenia attracted a total of 177,355 visitors, of which 34 percent were foreign tourists. Postojna caves, south-western Slovenia, attracted 32,720 visitors in this time period and was thus the most visited site in Slovenia from October through December 1999. During the same time period gaming houses attracted 542,842 visitors, swimming pools and thermal springs 600,793 visitors, while 99,921 visitors paid a visit to galleries and museums around the country.
