Ljubljana, 2 April - In a major development during last week, the government replied to the continual warnings from oil companies which suggested that the government's policies are causing them to make loses and thus passed a model for the formation of prices for oil derivatives. The formation of prices will now be based on the 14 day average price of oil on world markets. Neither Petrol nor OMV Istrabenz, the two Slovene petrol companies, nor the government could predict the movements of oil prices in the future, but it is expected that the decision to increase production of oil made by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) last week, will play a role.
