Political Parties Respond to Government Reshuffle

Ljubljana, 3 April - GOVERNMENT/RESHUFFLE/REACTIONS
In a response to the proposal put forward by Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek to renew the government before the announced withdrawal of the People's Party (SLS) from the ruling coalition, three parliamentary parties (DeSUS, ZLSD and SNS) said they preferred early elections, one party (SLS) said explicitly it would not back a minority government, while two (SKD and SDS) did not state their opinions clearly.
