Foreign Experts Discuss EU Integration on Asylum Policies

Ljubljana, 4 April - SLOVENIA/ASYLUM
A round table meeting, sponsored by the PHARE programme, at which local and foreign experts discussed a report by EU experts on the process of Slovenia and other EU candidates in the adoption of the acquis on asylum and migration issues, concluded on Tuesday in Ljubljana. Simultaneously with the meeting a national action programme for this year in the field of asylum and refugee policies, which clearly sets out further steps needed to be taken in this field, was formated, said State Undersecretary at the Interior Ministry Vladimir Korosec. One of the most urgent tasks set down by this programme is the separarion of the centre for immigrants and the asylum centre, which currently share their location in Ljubljana.
