Slovenia for Stronger Ties with the ECB
Ljubljana, 5 April - BANK/SLOVENIA/ECB
Member of the executive council of the Governors of the European Central Bank (ECB) Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa met with Bank of Slovenia Governor France Arhar and representatives of Slovene commercial banks on Wednesday. He acquainted the Slovene banking representatives with the ECB's implementation of monetary policy and the consequences related to the introduction of the common European currency, the euro. Arhar explained that the aim of the visit is, above all, aimed at strengthening co-operation between the ECB and the Slovene banking sector, in a time that Slovenia is integrating in to the EU.
