Parliament Resumes Emergency Session on Government Crisis

The National Assembly has resumed an emergency session at which it is to vote on the dismissal of ten SLS ministers and the appointment of eight replacements proposed by Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek after the coalition SLS announced it will pull out of the government as a result of a merger with the opposition SKD on 15 April. The session was suspended yesterday afternoon after the general debate was completed. The emergency session has to finish by Sunday midnight at the latest.
