International Conference on Environmental Protection in Armed Forces Opens at Bled

Bled, 11 April - ARMED/FORCES/ENVIRONMENT/CONFERENCE
A three-day international conference on how armed forces take care of environmental issues opened on Tuesday at the Alpine resort of Bled, northwestern Slovenia. The conference is organised by the Slovene Defence Ministry and the Slovene Armed Forces in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defence. The meeting aims at stimulating activity and setting down measures to protect the environment in the armed forces, and to create regional environmental co-operation in SE Europe.
