Slovene Music Days Open in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 11 April - The 15th Slovene Music Days, a festival of Slovene contemporary music, opened in the Slovene capital of Ljubljana on Tuesday evening, to wind up on 14 April. Organised by the Festival of Ljubljana, the festival has been orchestrated around two anniversaries, namely the 100th anniversary of the birth of composer Lucijan Marija Skerjanc and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Slovenia's greatest poet France Preseren. The concerts will feature 13 new compositions by Slovene authors.
