Expert in Earthquake-Proof Engineering Dies

Sergej Bubnov, an expert in earthquake-proof engineering and construction technology, died on Monday at the age of 86. Bubnov helped eliminate the consequences of several earthquakes in Slovenia and abroad, including in Macedonia, Bosnia and Iran. During the years 1993 to 1994, he chaired the international commission which conducted independent analyses of the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant (ICISA).
