Slovene and Belgian Agriculture Ministers Meet
Ljubljana, 12 April - A delegation of the Belgian Ministry for Small Business, Trade and Agriculture headed by Minister Jaak Gabriels met outgoing Agriculture Minister Ciril Smrkolj in Ljubljana on Wednesday. They discussed the problems both countries share in agriculture as well as the potential for better bilateral co-operation in the sector. Belgium will assume the presidency over the European Union in July 2001, and would therefore like to hear Slovenia's positions on accession to the EU in order to include them in its programme, Gabriels said.
