Brussels Warns of Slow Slovene Structural Reforms

Brussels, 14 April - The European Commission released a first quarter report Wednesday on economic reforms in Slovenia in which it stated that the small domestic and external imbalances that are appearing, serve as a warning of the present lack of momentum in structural reform. The report highlights that Slovenia's economic performance remains stabile, something remarkable given the unfavourable external circumstances it faced. The report also mentions of limited progress on structural reform, something that may be delayed further by elections which will be held by the end of the year.
