Agreement on the SLS-SKD Merger Confirmed

Ljubljana, 15 April - SLS/SKD/CONGRESS/MERGER
The agreement on the unification of the People's Party (SLS) and the Christian Democrats (SKD) has been confirmed in an almost unanimous vote. While 498 delegates voted for the merger, only two were against it. The centre-right party which has just emerged on the political scene is the largest parliamentary party in Slovenia. Its name and president are to be chosen later today.
