58-year-old doctor of agricultural sciences Franc Zagozen was elected president of the newly-founded SKD+SLS Slovene People's Party at Saturday's merger congress. Vice-Presidents of this strongest parliamentary party are Lojze Peterle, Marjan Podobnik and Andrej Bajuk.
