Speakers of parliament from EU candidate countries who are in Ljubljana for the second day of their two-day meeting, agreed Wednesday that EU membership will not threaten the national identity of new member states, and added that in an age of globalisation and integration, more care should be aimed at preserving national languages and cultures.
